My Story

In every piece of stone, there's a story waiting to be told. Mine began with a book, a band of friends, and a boundless world of adventure.

I always had a connection with Fantasy, reading The Fellowship of The Ring when I was young and falling absolutely in love with the characters and the adventures. I was hooked forever. I started DM'ing in 2019 and with my sister and a group of friends, we started our first campaign. That same campaign is still running today!

Since then my groups have grown to become my family. Even though we're now spread across state lines, we still find a way to get together every year for Christmas, a tradition that is vary dear to my heart. I share my love with them through handmade and personalized gifts – dice bags, trays, even dioramas of their characters!

I’d always dreamed of making dice. The thought of giving my players a hand-made set specific to their characters was such a cool idea to me, so I started learning. Through Instagram and Reddit I saw tons of incredibly talented people making absolutely stunning resin dice, but it didn't call to me. I always liked the heft of weighty dice - stone and metal. Casting metal seemed very difficult (and dangerous), so I learned to cut stone.

And that’s how Sage and Nettle began—born from a deep-rooted appreciation for fantasy and a desire to hold a tangible piece of it in our hands. It's my way of bringing a piece of the fantasy we cherish into the real world, one D20 at a time.

The very first stone I cut!
